First the financial report is really unreadable, many negative values(as in they count against a total) are displayed positively.

financial report has a lot of text content in parenthesis that doesn't add value and is somewhat confusing

financial report also breaks alignment in many cases, so stricter alignment rules are needed.

Taking it: a clean pass over the financial report render — signed values everywhere (anything counting against a total renders in parentheses, consistent across all three statements), the low-value parenthetical commentary trimmed, and the column alignment made strict. I'll paste the before/after of a sample report on this issue so you can judge the new format.
